My work often alludes to the photograph. It is concerned with the inconsistencies of memory and the traces we leave. Grids, folds and maps are all a structural presence.
There is repetition in my making; in the printmaking, in the enamelled pieces, in the maps. It is the bringing together of individual parts to make a whole; including the leaves of books bound or folded together. It is a repetition of thoughts and memories that are fallible, that can be altered, sometimes imperceptibly.
