Claire’s research is concerned with how we process and store memories with their inevitable fallibility, as it considers the role photography plays within systems of memory and truth.
Recent works endeavour to find ways to map the leakage from the mass of little constructions that we hold deeply archived within ourselves, to the stories we tell to make sense of ourselves in the world.
An integral element of Claire’s practice is the coordination of community based, socially engaged projects, collaborations and mail works. She is one third of the artist collective Room To Manoeuvre.
Claire holds a Masters in Fine Art, with distinction from AUP where she is Studio Coordinator for fine print and works from her studio in west Devon.
Previously: Senior Technician (fine print) University of Plymouth.
Independent arts workshop facilitator and Coordinator of and at arts festivals and The Printery Studios..
